On December 15, 2021, the Federal Government once again issued a global “avoid non-essential travel” advisory for travel outside of Canada due to rising cases of COVID-19 in Canada. Here’s how we’re keeping people up-to-date and protected during this time.

  • Regular updates to our COVID-19 FAQS. We continue to monitor the government’s announcements and keep our FAQs updated so customers and partners can quickly find top of mind questions.
  • Staying connected. We’re reaching out by email to our customers and brokers to let them know about any impact the travel advisory on GMS travel coverage.
  • We’re providing COVID-19 Coverage. In November 2020, we added coverage for medical expenses related to a positive diagnosis of COVID-19 up to $500,000 of the emergency medical maximum for the following plans: TravelStar Emergency Medical Plans; and Personal Health, Replacement Health, Group Advantage or Custom/Association Group Plans with an annual travel benefit.

Due to the government’s travel advisory announcement, our Call Centre is experiencing a high volume of calls. As a result, wait times are much longer than normal.  We encourage you to visit our COVID-19 FAQS or our general Frequently Asked Questions page. These pages can give you quick answers to common questions. Thanks for your patience!
