Donation to Enhance Cardiac Care in Saskatchewan
February 2014 - GMS has donated $500,000 to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, which will be used to make facility improvements and introduce a state-of-the-art digital electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, file management and storage system at the newly-named GMS Cardiac Rhythm Device Clinic, located at Regina’s General Hospital.
AED Donation Program
In October 2007, GMS strengthened our commitment to the health of Saskatchewan communities with a $300,000 donation to equip 83 schools across the province with Automated External Defibrillators; an investment in our communities, in our schools, in our children and in our health. The plan to purchase and supply Automated External Defibrillators for placement throughout Saskatchewan received strong support from GMS, its Board of Directors and the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region’s Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) program.
Grand Opening of GMS Cardiac Rhythm Device Clinic
The newly renovated GMS Cardiac Rhythm Device Clinic at Regina General Hospital was officially opened March 24th 2015. A donation from GMS to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation funded acquisition of a digital ECG testing, file management and storage system for the clinic, along with renovations to enhance patient privacy and comfort. GMS is proud to help advance cardiac care in Saskatchewan.
