TravelStar® Trip Cancellation & Interruption protects you in the event of an unforeseen circumstance which causes your trip to be cancelled or delayed while travelling out of province or out of Canada.

Trip Cancellation & Interruption features:

Coverage if the operator of your trip or cruise cancels your trip before departure
Transportation to your destination if your flight is delayed or you miss a connection before or after your departure
Coverage for you if your travelling companion is hospitalized due to an unforeseen medical emergency
Coverage for expenses during longer delays include meals, accommodations, telephone calls and taxi fares

Plus you can choose to upgrade your plan with these options:

Trip Delay Upgrade (Optional Extra Coverage) increases your coverage in the event of delays lasting 12 hours or longer . Trip Delay Upgrade includes additional coverage for expenses, reimbursement of the cost for you to attend a ticketed event such as a concert, sporting game or opera. We'll even match your business or first class ticket (standard is economy class) to rejoin your tour group or return you home.
Add Baggage Loss, Damage & Delay by selecting our Non-Medical All-Inclusive package or get extra coverage for items like laptops, golf clubs and skis
Or choose an All-Inclusive package that includes coverage for emergency medical, plus Trip Cancellation & Interruption and Baggage Loss, Damage and Delay

Optional Extra Coverage: Trip Delay Upgrade

Purchase the TravelStar® Optional Extra Coverage Trip Delay Upgrade for lengthy delays of 12 hours or more. This option provides coverage in addition to that offered by the Trip Cancellation & Interruption plan. Trip delay upgrade features:

$500 per day, up to $1,500 for accommodations, meals, essential telephone calls and taxi fares
Up to $200 for the cost of tickets to attend events during your delay, such as a movies, concerts, sporting events or operas
Same class (e.g. first class or business class) air transportation expenses to help you rejoin your group, tour or arrive at your departure point or to return you to your home (our standard policy is economy class air fare)
