Baggage Loss, Damage and Delay Insurance

TravelStar® Baggage Loss, Damage and Delay protects your luggage, personal items or identification in the event they are lost, damaged, delayed or stolen, while travelling outside your province of residence or Canada. Baggage Loss, Damage & Delay features:

$500 to replace one item or set of items
$100 to replace documentation such as a passport or driver's license
$400 for replacing personal items if your baggage is delayed for 12 hours or more
$100 for replacing currency due to theft or robbery

Plus you can choose to upgrade your plan with these options:

Optional Extra Baggage Coverage is available to protect items such as golf clubs, skis, other sporting goods, laptops and computer equipment or an Increased Per Item Limit option which increases the $500 to replace one item or set of items (noted above) to $1,000
Add Trip Cancellation & Interruption coverage by selecting our Non-Medical All-Inclusive package or get extra coverage for delays by purchasing the optional Trip Delay Upgrade plan
Or choose an All-Inclusive package that includes emergency medical coverage, plus Trip Cancellation & Interruption and Baggage Loss, Damage and Delay

Optional Extra Baggage Coverage

Golf Clubs, Skis & Sporting Equipment; Laptops & Computer Equipment; Increased Per Item Limit

TravelStar® Optional Extra Baggage coverage is designed specifically to cover your expensive, prized possessions when you travel. These options can be purchased with any GMS plan that includes Baggage Loss, Damage & Delay insurance. Three options are available and feature:

Coverage for Golf Clubs, Skis & Sporting Equipment up to $2,000 in the event of theft, burglary, fire or damage during transportation
Coverage for Laptops & Computer Equipment up to $2,000 in the event of theft, burglary, fire or damage during transportation
Coverage with Increased Per Item Limit covers you for up to $1,000 per item or set of items. This amount is over and above the $500 per item or set of items included with your Baggage Loss, Damage & Delay coverage
